Upcoming Next-Gen Game Opinions

gameconsolesThere are a ton of next-gen games that I’m looking forward to, skeptical of, and think will utterly flop. Chances are, I’ll be somewhat accurate, but not entirely. I have lots of strong opinions, especially about some of the upcoming games, so I figured it was worth talking about. But do you want to hear my thoughts on games such as Quantum Break, The Division, Project Spark, and more? Keep on reading. Read the rest of this entry

Titanfall Beta Thoughts

titanfallAfter a long day of gaming, I’ve got the feel for the Titanfall beta. One of the most anticipated game of the year, I was one of the skeptics. And for good reason. It lacks many features I like, such as split screen, HD graphics, more than 6v6 players, or anyone offline. The entire game is online-only! I was ready to pass up buying Titanfall, but I downloaded the beta and gave it a try. It certainly changed my mind. Want to hear my thoughts? Keep on reading. Read the rest of this entry

Forza 5 Review – 6/10 Paint Scratches

forza5-2I currently own 5 titles for the Xbox One. Two of those have previous-gen quality graphics, and two of those has stylized graphics. Forza 5 is a graphical beast, a near photo-realistic game that is incredibly detailed. The cars are beautiful, the reflect properly, take realistic damage, and are just a blast to drive. That is, if you can control the car. I’m going to be reviewing the realistic racer Forza 5, one of the most advertised launch titles.  Read the rest of this entry

Xbox One Impressions

kinect2It’s no small feat to look at an entire console and summarize it in a single article. The Xbox One has been in development for years and years, and is an extremely detailed machine. I’m not going to do a strict review, because I don’t have a PS4 to compare it to, but I’ll talk about what I’ve liked, disliked, found interesting, and more. Read the rest of this entry

Dead Effect Review – 7.5/10 Headsplosions

DE_group02First person shooters are a mixed bag in the iOS App Store. Some are excellent, with good controls and an intriguing storylines. Some have poor controls, with too many buttons or not enough freedom with controls, or pathetic storyline. But regardless, new first person shooters (FPS) games keep coming onto the app store. Coming out side-by-side with the Call of Duty FPS app, how does the scifi shooter Dead Effect fare?

Dead Effect (which isn’t a mix of Dead Space and Mass Effect, though it is similar) is a FPS that games place on a space ship heading straight for earth on a crash course. With an experiment called Dead Effect having gone horribly wrong, the entire crew of the ship were killed and (brace yourself for this shocker) were turned into zombies. You were the one and only crew member who Dead Effect actually worked on correctly, making you the lone survivor with superpowers in the midst on hundreds of zombies. Can you kill them all, and steer the toxic ship away from a collision course to earth?

Infinity Blade 3 – First Impressions

Screen Shot 2013-09-10 at 2.58.01 PMSo, you may have noticed I’ve been AWOL for a day or two. Oddly enough, that’s also the time of appearance for Infinity Blade 3 in the App Store. I’ve been playing it diligently, and I’m loving it. It’s a fantastic game. But why? I’ve heard a lot of people give the Infinity Blade series criticism for being too repetitive, or boring. So, did Infinity Blade 3 break out from this?

Call of Duty: Ghosts Campaign Trailer

So this gem just appeared on TV while watching football, and I was shocked to see it was already 5 days old. I’m not too far behind though, so let’s do a quick analyzation of the new Call of Duty: Ghosts campaign trailer. This trailer is not focused on the multiplayer aspect, only the campaign. Needless to say, I’m excited. Watch the trailer, then read my analyzation. Read the rest of this entry
